Welcome

Welcome to my blog. I update this as often as I can with news that you might not see on the major networks as my main focus. I welcome any and all comments, and I have content at the bottom of the page everyday. Personal blurb: My personal belief is that the US Constitution's first amendment (which talks about the freedom of speech) extends to the Internet. For this reason, I have the comments setting set up to have comments go up immediately. If you comment anonymously, you will have to go through a word verification step. I will keep the setting as-is as long as the comments are kept 'G' rated. Thanks and I hope you keep coming back.

Nintendo Confirms Successor to the Wii

Video game players will see a new console from Nintendo in 2012.

The company confirmed they plan on launching a successor to the Wii in a statement as part of their full-year financial earnings report.

Nintendo says they will show a playable model of the console in June during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

The company has not confirmed any specific console details. Initial reports have claimed the device will support high-definition games as well as a controller with built-in touchscreen.

Last week, IGN reported the console would be similar in size to the original Xbox 360 and cost $350-$400.

Nintendo's Wii has dominated the current console cycle since launching in 2006, with sales topping 86 million worldwide. Nintendo also revealed titles Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Sports Resort, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Fit and New Super Mario Bros. all crossed the 20 million sales mark.

Readers, what would you like to see in a new Nintendo console?
