If your like me, then you've had more than enough of your time reading headlines about the US's debt.  True, we do have more than 14 trillion dollars of debt and it's going up every second, but how much is that really.  Well, 14 trillion dollars can also be written as $14, 000, 000, 000, 000.00.  Mind you, that's going up every second.  For more optimism, keep reading this post.

As the months have turned into weeks, the weeks turning into days, and Obama saying that he will not accept another postponement, Congress should have been scurring around to get a budget for this year in place.  But where are they in this situation?

Time's up.  The stalemate on Capital Hill is either going to have to be resolved today before midnight or the Federal government is going to be shutdown.  Yesterday, I published a post about Federal Web Sites and how they will be affected.  So if you want to know what will happen to the websites, you can find it in the archives for yesterday, April 7.

Many federal Web sites will go dark if the government shuts down tomorrow night, the White House indicated this afternoon.

GOP Budget Plan to Cut More Than $4 Trillion

According to a USA Today article written by Kevin McCoy, the House Republican who's writing a proposed 2012 federal budget said Sunday that the plan would cut more than $4 trillion in Washington spending over the next 10 years.
